National Painting Contractors wasn’t built from comfort. It was built from commitment.
I started in this industry at just 15 years old. Growing up with limited financial resources and very little guidance, I learned early that if I wanted something, I had to build it myself. What some might see as obstacles, I now recognize as the foundation of my resilience, work ethic, and determination.
My introduction to the trade came through hands-on field work and later through the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, where I worked as both a field painter and a foreman. Those years were more than just training — they were real-world education. I learned leadership on job sites. I learned accountability. I learned that trust isn’t given; it’s earned through consistency and results.
Long before launching National Painting Contractors in May of 2021 in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, I had already spent decades mastering the craft, leading crews, navigating challenges, and building relationships. Over the past 30+ years, I’ve grown this company the same way I grew myself, through integrity, hard work, and refusing to cut corners.
Today, we operate nationwide. But no matter how far we expand, we operate with a local mindset.
